Performing Arts Theatre Dance School
Charlies Centre Stage is an established Dance and Theatre school in Sutton Coldfield.
We have dance classes on a Saturday, where we teach children ages from 2 -16 years and adult classes dance and fitness.
Students will perform in annual shows in a Theatre, perform at summer fetes, take part in choreographic competitions and many more.
Our dance and theatre school is to encourage children the love of dance, whether they want to just dance for fun or take it up as a career.
Charlie Centre Stage is a family and we support every child that joins our Team.

Charlie Carney
I have danced since the age of 4 years and I trained at the Centre Performing Arts College for 3 years gaining an ISTD Qualification in Dance.

I have Performed in Theatres and in the West End, London Palladium in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat and acted in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in the Strand Theatre starring Patricia Hodge.
I have performed overseas including most of Europe in a cabaret dance Act. I have also promoted adverts on television and through a modelling agency hosted promotional events through Models Inc.
In my teaching experience I have taught drama, ballet, jazz, gymnastics and musical theatre dance in primary and secondary schools. I also taught drama and dance for Maelisa Mcguinness Theatre School for 5 years in Sevenoaks Kent.
My Dream was to set up a Performing Arts Dance School and to teach dance to children and it came true in 2015.
Charlies Centre Stage is for children ages from 2 years to 18 years and also we offer adult classes.
I am a qualified dance teacher and have a lot of experience teaching children in all ages.
I will keep the classes fresh and fun for all the children.
We have all our shows yearly in a theatre, choreographic competitions, summer courses and a Christmas party.

We will be working towards the ISTD syllabus from ages 3 and above, but they won’t need to take exams.
Ballet is the main technique of Dance.

Charlie is the Principal and advanced Dance Instructor and one of our most loved team members, well respected by our team and students alike. I have a passion for dance and teaching others to feel confident.

There are no Dance classes on Saturday 24th October.
We are back to Dance on Saturday 31st November.

We break up for Dance on Saturday 19th December.
